Geotechnical Pavement Engineering Services for PA/ED & PS&E Phases for Slauson Ave. and Atlantic Blvd. Congestion Relief Improvements (2022)
The purpose of this project is to relieve congestion at the intersection of E. Slauson Avenue and Atlantic Boulevard within the City of Maywood. The scope involved widening the roadway to add right-turn pockets at eastbound and westbound of E. Slauson Avenue, a right-turn merge pocket at westbound of E. Slauson Avenue, and a right-turn pocket at northbound of Atlantic Boulevard.
GAI’s scope included providing geotechnical pavement investigation, laboratory testing, and preparing a report which included the recommendations for the design and construction of the pavement for the proposed improvements.
