Geotechnical Investigation, Soils and Materials Testing and Inspection for New Construction of a Class Building at Peninsula High School (2019)
Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in Rolling Hills Estates, California proposed upgrades to its campus by adding a two-story building with six classrooms and a weight room.
For the design phase, GAI performed site reconnaissance to evaluate the general site conditions. The scope mainly included conducting a total of five boring within or in the vicinity of the approximate footprint of the development.
During the construction phase, GAI provided support services which included soils and materials testing as well as inspections in various categories including grading/earthwork, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and asphalt.
