Preliminary Geotechnical Engineering, Initial Site Assessment (ISA), and Phase II Environmental Study for Lakewood and Alondra Intersections (Metro Hotspot Project) (2015)
The project was defined as a Metro Hotspot project that included “Environmental Clearance and Preliminary Engineering Services” for Intersection Improvements in the Cities of Long Beach, Bellflower, and Paramount”. GAI provided geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting services for the project as part of the Psomas team. Our services included: ISA (Initial Site Assessment) and preparing the report; Phase-II environmental study for the Lakewood/Alondra intersection; and preliminary geotechnical and pavement engineering work for the Lakewood/Alondra intersection. The scope of work included: field exploration; sample collection; laboratory geotechnical and laboratory testing; engineering analysis; and final report preparation for the above-mentioned phases of the project.
