Geotechnical and Geohazard Investigation and Materials Testing and Inspection for New Outdoor Pool Facility and South Campus Improvement Project for La Canada High School (2020-2022)
The project included the following improvements to the south campus of La Canada High School: a new outdoor swimming pool with an adjacent restroom/locker room/office building, new basketball courts to be built on the footprint of the existing swimming pool, and reconfiguration and paving of parking areas.
GAI, along with our subcontractors, performed geotechnical and geohazard investigation for the design and construction of the project. The soil data obtained from the field and laboratory-testing program was evaluated and an engineering evaluation and analysis was performed. The final report included the study methodology, field logs, laboratory analyses and our preliminary recommendations for the design and construction of the proposed developments from a geotechnical standpoint and fulfilled requirements of CGS/DSA.
