Geotechnical Services for PA/ED for I-605/SR-60 Interchange Improvement Project (2016-2017)
The proposed improvements for the project were along I-605, from Telegraph Road to the I-10 interchange, and along SR-60, from Santa Anita Avenue to east of Turnbull Canyon Road. LA Metro and the Gateway Cities Council of Government (GCCOG) prepared a Project Study Report – Project Development Support (PSR-PDS) for the I-605/SR-60 Study Area. Based on the results of the PSR/PDS Study, LA Metro began the preparation of the Project Approval and Environmental Document (PA/ED) as the next step in moving forward with improvements to the interchange and adjacent freeways. GAI provided geotechnical services as a part of the HDR team. Our services included material information review and presenting the final materials report and pavement design for the project.
