Geotechnical Services for PA/ED and PS&E for I-605/South Street Improvement Project (2017-2019)
The project was funded as part of the I-605 Hot Spots in Measure R to reduce the existing and forecasted congestion. The project provided additional merging distance/space for vehicles entering from both WB and EB SR-91 onto SB I-605 while minimizing Right-of-Way (ROW), environmental, and economic impacts.
Our services included performing geotechnical engineering work for both the PA/ED and PS&E phases of the project. For the PA/ED phase, our scope included preparing a Preliminary Materials Report, Preliminary Geotechnical Reports, and Structure Preliminary Geotechnical Reports (SPGR). For the PS&E phase, our work included preparing the final Materials Report, Geotechnical Design Report (GDR), and Foundation Reports.
