Geotechnical Services for I-405 Auxiliary Lane PS&E (2021-2023)
Caltrans, in cooperation with the LA Metro and the South Bay Cities Council of Governments, proposes the construction of a series of auxiliary lanes on both northbound/southbound Interstate 405 (I-405) from Artesia Boulevard to the I-405/interstate 105 (1-105) separation in the Cities of Torrance, Hawthorne, Redondo Beach, L awndale, El Segundo, and Manhattan Beach, in Los Angeles County. GAI provided geotechnical services as a subconsultant to WKE/HDR for this project including preparing the geotechnical materials report and providing recommendations for the design and construction of the project from a geotechnical standpoint.
