Soils and Materials Testing and Inspection for the Lakewood High School Track and Field (2021)
The Lakewood High School Track and Field Project consisted of the replacement of the existing track with an all-weather track surface, the replacement of the electronic scoreboard, the reconstruction of the existing bleachers to create accessible seating, and the replacement of the field with synthetic turf. GAI’s scope of work included construction inspection and testing services during construction. We provided all inspection and testing services, including soils/grading monitoring and testing, testing of concrete and reinforcing steel, and performing special inspections such as earthwork/soils inspection, asphaltic concrete plant inspection, asphaltic concrete placement inspection, concrete batch plant inspection, concrete placement inspection and sampling, concrete and masonry sampling and testing, and all other field inspection and laboratory testing, as required. The project construction schedule was approximately six (6) months, from February 8, 2021 to August 8, 2021.
